Are you ready for an outstanding and unrivalled Australian Gran Fondo experience?

The Clare Classic 2018 is coming!

This, our newest Gran Fondo, will surely be a bike ride to remember, but also a classic Australian experience, and a sensual feast of visual and gourmet delights. So gather your cycling mates, get yourselves ready, and mark Sunday April 8th down on your calendar.

Just a short drive from Adelaide, the historic township of Clare is a superb location for our first Gran Fondo of 2018.

Offering a glorious day of riding through one of South Australia’s most picturesque wine regions, the Clare Classic traces a scenic and challenging route over quiet country roads that will take your breath away. And paired with the world famous wine and, more recently, burgeoning gourmet scene, the entire Clare Classic experience will satisfy on so many fronts.

Make your choice from three courses: The Maxi Classic, is a challenging 160km ride through some of the most breathtaking and quintessentially Australian scenery you can experience on two wheels. There’s also The Challenge Classic; a 110km option for those with less time on their hands, or distance in their legs. Or, for a more cruisy and casual experience, The Social Classic is a 50km ride through the most stunning areas of the Clare Valley that families and kids will love.

Exploring new roads, unknown terrain, and even country towns with old mates or new friends is one of the great joys of cycling. After your ride you can kick back relax in the entertainment of the event village, and sample the locally produced food and wine.

Eager riders from as far afield as Brisbane, Perth and Sydney have already registered their interest to take part in this inaugural event—it’s sure to become a renowned fixture in South Australian cycling, and one that rates highly on every cyclist’s bucket list. We’d love to have you come and join us in Clare, so register to ride with us via the link below.
