Rider Guide Book

The event guide book contains all the vital information you will need on the event day such as start times, rest stop details, medical and enquiry phone numbers, drop bags, GPX files and much more.

Registration & kit collection

All riders are required to register for the ride. All riders who register before February 28th, 2018 will have their registration details, timing chip (if applicable) and any merchandise ordered delivered by mail.

All those riders registering after March 1st will need to collect their registration pack on Saturday 7th April 2pm – 5pm or Sunday 8th April 6:00am – 8:00 at;

Start times & assembly area

The start line will be located on Main North Road, corner of Gleeson Street in Clare.

160 km course: From 8:00am riders will be sent off in groups of 75 riders in approximately 3 minute intervals.

110 km course: From 8:20am riders will be sent off in groups of 75 riders in approximately 3 minute intervals.

50 km course: From 8:40am riders will be sent off in groups of 75 riders in approximately 3 minute intervals. Anyone with baby seats will be at the end of the wave.

Safety briefings

Please watch the relevant safety briefing video prior to event day. The videos contain vital safety information about the course.

Mechanical Support

Mechanical support will be provided at the start line. There will be mobile support stations at each of the three rest stops.

Insurance

Insurance is compulsory. During the registration process, you will be asked to note your current insurance cover and insurance number. Your current insurance will need to cover you for the Clare Classic day event. If you do not have the appropriate insurance, you will be asked to take out day insurance, Personal Accident Cover. First Aid & Emergency

The event will be covered by First Aid (most likely St John Ambulance). First aid will be at the race start and stationed at each of the three rest stops. There will also be First Aid vehicles on course.

Merchandise

All riders registered in the Maxi Classic (160km) and the Challenge Classic (110km) will receive a complimentary jersey if they register in our Early Bird period. After this period, merchandise will be available for purchase until December 31st.
